Dear Phisheads,
I read in the news that someone said Santana is on the cover of
Picture of Nectar? I heard it was the owner of Nectar's. Am I
mistaken?

I've been wanting to tape for years and for the first time this summer I
might actually be able to. I need a list of equipment, model numbers
included, DAT over analog, as well as WHERE to get it, what connections will
I need and MICS, models, prices etc.
Please help, I'm pretty proficient as far as audio systems go, but taping is
beyond my span of knowledge. VETERANS, you're help will be especially
cherished, thanx for reading....Milt.

Hey, I thought I was the only one who saw that. The TV was on and I
heard "WILSON!" and I thought Phish was one. Phish is getting around
(whether or not the makers of that commercial knew it.)

you are interested in a quick trade.

Why the hell doesn't Phish play this one any more? What a great tune!
What's your favorite version? I'm looking to get more...I only have
three: 10/29/88, 5/?/85, and 5/25/88. The latter is the best, although
it has two somewhat annoying glitches in it...but it's absolutley
incredible...Trey's just as soulful as both Allman Brothers rolled into
one, and Mike kicks Berry Oakley's ass any day! The 5/?/85 version is
cool too (it's that first Page show)...Scarlet Begonias > Eyes of the
World > Whipping Post > McGrupp is absolutley beautiful.
I remember a rumor going around a little while back about Dickey Betts
hearing one version of Phish's Whipping Post and being so impressed that
he gave the song's rights to Trey. Obviously untrue, but does anyone
know what the date was of this super Post? Gotta get it!

I've bought a bunch of burritos from lots of different "degenerates" and
they've all been great. They're *really* cheap too. Those guys are
just trying to make a buck and get some kind food out to people at cheap
prices. I don't see anything wrong with that.
Peace, Pete :)

I suspect that it has a lot to do with the commentary on the history of
film-noir that permeates this movie. The briefcase is in part a
reference to the trunk in Repo Man.
I do agree that it's not supposed to represent any real object.

Flip, I thought of the same thing but you just CAN'T leave those two songs off
of the up-and-coming live album. Correct me if i'm wrong but the reason
behind this album is so that their non-album songs are heard by more people.
So, if these songs are part of the general song rotation, you almost have no
choice but to include them.
They ARE almost identical in song structure (a VERY general statement of course)
Both songs start with just two chords and after a while they scream out the
first word of the title, followed by some lyrics, a little bit of composed
stuff based on chord changes, and then...AHHHH! What a beautiful solo.

Subject: a live album title (Trey said this!)
Date: 15 Feb 1995 16:38:11 -0500
I couldn't really care less about what the album's called (although I
would be tickled pink if it was called "Fishman Comes Alive!" with a
Frampton Comes Alive-esque cover...hee hee), but I figured y'all might
like to know that in an older pre-Hoist Phish interview, Trey mentioned
that he wanted to do an album of just live non-album songs (Suzie,
Possum, etc.) and call it "The Best Of Phish" (this was in Dupree's
Diamond News #26...the interview took place summer '93)
Thought you'd like to know.
